The event, the previous edition of which drew more than 2,000 participants from more than 50 countries, is an opportunity for BNP Paribas Real Estate Italy to showcase its major retail projects.* Hubtown, for instance, consists of developing an urban neighbourhood within Fiumicino airport, in Rome. The project is made up of 65,000 sqm, amongst which 8,000 sqm of retail space.**
In 2018, retail was BNP Paribas Real Estate Italy SRL’s second most successful asset class, right after office real estate.
In 2018, the Retail sector trend recorded around €2.2 billion (about 25% of total Italian volumes), following on from recent years. This was mainly thanks to shopping centres deals, which contributed approximately €1.2 billion to the total (the second highest value in the last 10 years for this sub-segment).
The creation of a brand new team made up of nine retail experts conveys BNP Paribas Real Estate Italy's (SRL) ambition to develop this business line. Additionally, the company’s attendance at this year’s MAPIC reinforces BNP Paribas Real Estate’s position as a major retail player in Europe.
If you’re at MAPIC Italy, be sure to join us at our stand number F28.
