Junior Analyst Residential


The role
This Junior Analyst role is to provide professional and efficient support to the Research team working with the residential business.
This role, permanently based at our offices in 5 Aldermanbury Square, offers a new position to be involved with a dynamic Research team. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to help shape and develop the research programme through data management, research and analysis, and delivery of insight within the property industry.
The role will work alongside the Research team in ensuring the accurate and timely delivery of quarterly data and analysis in excel, charts and presentation formats as required; the collection and analysis of secondary data and information for specific research projects; and to undertake ad hoc analysis under the guidance of the team for business colleagues.
The role requires an individual who has the imagination required to collaboratively develop new research programmes with the team, and work with the wider business to ensure best in class research provision.
Key Deliverables
  • Demonstrable experience of working with complex databases and manipulating large volumes of data.
  • An ability to collate / aggregate and input data from multiple sources both accurately and in a timely fashion.
  • Highly proficient / advanced use of Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
  • Understanding of data and markets in the residential sector, experience in the alternatives sector would be a benefit.
  • Excellent communication and project / time management skills.
  • High proficiency in numeracy skills and statistical analysis methods.
Person specification
  • Degree educated and from a property, economics, geography, finance or another related subject.
  • Forward thinking in terms of the use of innovative data and research solutions to business challenges.
You will be required to use your initiative and work to tight deadlines. You will be expected to have the ability to work with the market facing teams at all levels within the organisation, to seek out data, verify information and work with the existing team to sign off quarterly aggregate data sets. You will create meaningful outputs from the data and ensure business stakeholders are updated. As such an ability to engage with key stakeholders to generate “buy-in” is vital. The necessary guidance and training will be provided to develop you within the role.
