The role

Responsible for ensuring the effective delivery of health and safety management within the properties occupied by BNPPRE.

 

Key deliverables

•Engage with Bank colleagues to understand overarching requirements in respect of health and safety arrangements, agree individual (Bank and BNPPRE) responsibilities and agree structure and method for deployment
•Develop and agree with stakeholders a safety management strategy aligned to Bank requirements, industry best practice, the operations of BNPPRE and its obligations to its people
•Develop and oversee deployment of practical risk management procedures and processes to effectively deliver the agreed strategy
•Provide guidance and advice on, and demonstrate leadership in, health and safety risk management in BNPPRE
•Manage supply chain partners in respect of risk assessment and associated works
•Undertake a programme of site inspections and audits across all in scope properties
•Collate the results of the inspection and audit programmes
•Interrogate compliance management systems to ensure effective action management
•Assist with closure of actions arising from Risk Assessments, site inspections and audits
•Develop and deliver health and safety related communications and chair/attend meetings
•Prepare management reports for a variety of stakeholders
•Effectively manage delivery of agreed training programmes
•Collate accident, incident and near miss reports
•Investigate accidents, incidents and near misses in line with agreed severity protocols
•Review health and safety policies, procedures and processes to ensure currency

Qualifications:

Degree or equivalent

Holder of Managing Safely qualification – accredited by IOSH

Holder or willingness to gain National General Certificate in Occupational Safety and Health – accredited by NEBOSH
