Finance Business Manager


The role

Reporting to the Business Line Head/s, this role is responsible for the management of all financial and non-financial information within the business line (recording, maintaining and reporting) and providing full support to the Business Line Head with regards to all current and future client activity (targeting, pipeline,  KYC and compliance activity including terms of business on newly instructed business.


Key deliverables

  • Manage the departmental budget and billing function, including management of aged debt
  • Monitor and take appropriate action in regard to fee rendering across the business line, performance again plan and against forecast
  • Monitor progress against Business Plan objectives
  • Produce financial analysis and regular reporting (including dashboards)
  • Review P&L’s in each cost centre in the business line (4 analytical P&L’s)
  • Assist Business Line Head in creating new business plans for growth of the business line, pricing bids, assessing profitability and commercial model




  • Produce business line financial modelling and reporting across Europe
  • Produce management information pack for Quarterly Management Review to BNPPRE Board with service line heads
  • Monitor and report on budget and cost control
  • Monitor and report on all client targeting and business development activity
  • Drive KYC activity across the business line

  • Proactively communicates to colleagues and others
  • Ability to communicate clearly and professionally with key stakeholders

  • Support business development commercial structuring on bids

  • Manages, co-ordinates, implements and develops a range of important activities, processes, functions or relationships
  • Makes some decisions within field of expertise across Europe around Work In Progress reporting
  • Is conscious of process and takes steps to protect interests of BNP Paribas Real Estate
  • May contribute to BNP Paribas Real Estate projects

Essential Qualifications

·         Degree or equivalent level of knowledge acquired through experience and training


Essential Experience & Skills

·         Fluent in French (written and speaking)

·         Developing and implementing effective and efficient processes

·         Managing budgets and analysing statistical data

  •    Attention to detail and high level of numeracy
  •    Experience of using Optimus
  •    Demonstrable experience working at an advanced level of Excel & PowerPoint
  •    Self-starter, with a proactive style and approach to problem solving
  •    Capable of communicating clearly both in writing and verbally
  •    Good interpersonal, communication and influencing skills
  •    Good listener and consults with others where necessary
  •    Ability to manage and work with multiple projects at the same time
